Inner Glow
Oil and acrylic on canvas
100 × 100 cm
Inner Glow is part of the Dystopian series, which captures the resilience of the human soul and our enduring need for connection in a world that, despite advancing technology, often feels increasingly disconnected.
The painting explores these emotions through a distinctly cinematic lens. Visually, it draws on the psychological tension found in films such as The Shining and Lost in Translation, softened by the whimsical balance and colour palettes of Wes Anderson. Low lighting and a softly radiant figure become a means of articulating inner beauty — a symbolic illumination of the human spirit, the quiet glow that persists beneath the surface.
Across this ongoing series, nostalgic imagery is merged with deeper reflections on emotion and the unseen spiritual energy that threads human experience together. Inner Glow inhabits a space where memory, longing, and the contemporary psyche meet — illuminated, vulnerable, and quietly alive.
