Vintage Icons is a series of portraits celebrating musical legends and iconic fashion models from the 1960s and 1970s. Drawing inspiration from vintage fashion editorials and archival photography, each painting is carefully composed through the layering of portraiture, surface texture, and carefully considered pattern.

The series embraces the retro chic style that shaped these eras while reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens. Fashion models  including Hiroko Matsumoto, Jean Shrimpton, and Veruschka  feature alongside powerful female black cultural icons Diana Ross and Cicely Tyson. 

Together, these portraits honour individuality, representation, and the lasting visual language of fashion and music, capturing a moment in time while allowing it to resonate within the present.
